The last day of the convention I put my new degree ribbon around my neck before heading out the door, (degree holders wear them during the educational conventions). When I looked in the mirror I said, "I can't believe I'm wearing one of these!!". I never thought I would realize that dream. Not because I don't believe in myself but because of the required commitment to that dream. My family and business are where I spend most of my time. I haven't learned how to be one of those people who can do it all yet so personal goals sometimes get put on the back burner. Over the years though, my pursuit of continued education and my passion for sharing what I've learned with others through speaking and teaching engagements, I was able to earn enough merits to acquire my Photographic Craftsman Degree through Professional Photographers of America. I am truly honored and grateful to PPA for helping me grow so much in my craft! There are two more degrees that can be earned so I still have a lot of work to do!
Meanwhile here are a few of my favorite images and family wall portraits from 2017.
